Guests consistently praise the hotel's fantastic location, finding it exceptionally convenient, especially being near Waverley Station and within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile. The modern Scottish design is frequently mentioned as beautiful, with rooms often described as comfortable and well-appointed, some even offering views of Calton Hill and the Scott Monument. Many appreciate the complimentary mini-bar with beverages and Tunnock's biscuits; however, a few guests have found some rooms to be on the smaller side. The rainfall showers receive high marks, and some also highlight the rooftop bar and champagne available at breakfast.

Adequate Stay Overall

helpful staffconvenient locationuncomfortable bedcrowded bar
The location offered convenient access to transportation. The airport bus stop was close to the hotel. That helped a lot. The staff members were helpful and courteous, and they were able to answer my questions.
The bed was not very comfortable. It was too firm for my liking. The roof bar seemed to prioritize outside customers. Hotel guests need to book in advance. This made it difficult to relax without prior planning.

the location was superb for accessing everything. the staff were very helpful in storing luggage after checkout, so i could continue sightseeing. i also enjoyed the complimentary beverage welcome package provided in the room.
The fire alarm went off because of the steamer in the room. It was quite disruptive. three separate individuals confirmed the alarm with us multiple times. perhaps replacing the steamer with an iron could prevent future incidents.
